I'm seeing reports of New Yorkers fleeing the city. Supposedly looking to self quarantine outside of the hot zones.

I don't have faith in that and wish they wouldn't spread it.

Very few native NYC denizens know how to drive and fewer yet own a vehicle. A lot of them are born live and die in the same neighborhood. The world of native NYCityers is so far from the rest of the world, it may as well be another planet. I doubt it is going to be a mass exodus

I am sure glad I don't live in Florida. That will be the next spot between all the NYers fleeing and the spring breakers. LLL

I friend of mine lived close to NYC , he moved to my area. A few months after that brought his girlfriend up to live with him. She was a NYC girl. He had to teach her how to drive a car. She was 42yo at the time.

Connecticut too, there's an endless sea of orange NY license plates everywhere one goes in Fairfield county, and surprise... the virus numbers are going up there faster than anywhere else in the state.

Many of us here in CT wish we could shut our state boarder with NY, but - well, we can't do that... nor could we put up a real nice tool booth on say, route 95.

.As a side note, I'm actually from NYC, Bay Ridge Brooklyn to be more specific and yes, I agree with Danny's sentiment... it is like no other place on earth, and I actually mean that in a good way.
If I could afford to go back, I would, as - crazy as this sounds - it's a more simple way of life.

Now the sea of NY cars coming to CT, that's from Westchester Country - aka ground zero for the virus as far as NYC goes.

This will spell the end of life as we know it out here, because once those NY's arrive, their attitudes come with them.

The manhattan refugees are fleeing to their 2nd homes in the Hamptons and N. Fork here, I heard of one woman who called the local, small, hospital and screamed at them that she tested positive and was coming out on the Jitney (luxury express bus) and demanded she be taken care of....
In the meantime the rich and famous have stripped the local, small, stores of everything, now they are demanding the Gov. send helicoptors with supplies to them.

These people are arrogant, rude, and condescending, besides being irresponsible. Rules are for other people..."don't you know who I am?"

I remember Trapper Art going to a New York trappers rondezvous. Art said he would never got back as the people there were rude and arrogant. Art kept his word

Canadians make new yorkers look friendly. Dont care if I ever go back there!

I like New York. It truly is a world of it's own. Public transportation was just as fast as a car when I lived there. I wouldn't want to live there right now.

You can have NYC nothing there I’d ever want to see or do just not my thing.
