Yesterday the city posted these signs on all the city parks. This sign is posted at little park behind my house has a small slide and one little like teeter ride thing.

I have always thought you couldn't sue the city, county state, etc..for injury on public property. Unless there is some gross obvious gross negligence..
Have also heard that they don't post every know hazard just for that reason, you assume responsibility when you access the park accept any risk, not them..
So haven't if they put up these sign with a chance for a know risk.. shouldn't they have just closed the park? monitored access? sent people to regular clean it?

I know I'm way over thinking it. just seems funny how they are doing things..

That looks like it was drafted by the city attorney to lessen probability of litigation IMO

The proverbial CYA.

I have worked for different municpalities as a code enforcement officer and LPI. Each municipality has always done every thing possible to avoid litigation, and all are closely advised by the town's attorney.

I quit trapping In the city parks because there were to many nosey rosies checking out what I was doing.
The area I'm trapping know Is Private but they allow the public to do their bird watching on It. So far there has been no issues. The owners post signs about the trapping and why we are doing It.
