I live on a state highway, and there has definitely been a drop in traffic, especially outside of "commute" hours.

Even though we don't have a "shelter in place" order, a lot of businesses are having people or encouraging working from home. I've seen less traffic on the Soo Foo area interstates. About 90+% of the work force has been banned from my fed facility, I appealed but was shot down. So, now I have to try this working from home stuff. Have fun all!!

LOL
All this outrage based on nothing more than rumors. Some people just want to be a victim.

My company giving me travel papers is not rumors.

People getting in fist fights over TP is not rumors.

The Sheriff's dept issuing a statement that they will not be stopping motorists is not rumors.

A $250 fine for violating the "Safer at Home" order is not a rumor.

Selling freedom for "safety" is the problem.

Issuing travel papers here to factory workers.

Friends in the medical field were all business as usual til 3 days ago. Things got serious then. 180* in attitude and discussion. A couple already had their job positions changed, and they have been transferred to new positions. More active/hands-on positions as they described them.

Not trying to raise fear by saying that, just sharing what I see and hear to help keep everyone informed.

Check points are a rumor.
People actually getting a fine for being outside is a rumor.
Travel papers are being drawn up JUST IN CASE, they are not required in most places. I say most places because while I don't know of anyplace that does require them, I won't pretend to be aware of what's going on in every location within the US.
I actually saw someone on another forum claim his buddy was pulled over, fined $500, and told to turn around when he crossed into Ohio. Couple problems with his story. One, he said it happened this weekend. Stay at Home order started Tuesday. Second, they are not closing roads and the majority of people here are still working. They absolutely won't pull people over, the roads are full of people and we're certainly aloowed to drive. The governor himself encouraged people to get out and visit the state parks, which are still open.

Visiting state parks and other outdoor, non team recreation is listed as Essential Activity.

You only risk a fine if you're in an organized group not following the Social Distancing Requirements.

Check points wouldn't make any sense since travel isn't banned.....unless you're packing a bus full of people just to thumb your nose at the Req's.

Literally just got an email from our H.R. department. We will have letters by tomorrow. They mentioned two people now that have reported getting stopped by State Patrol and questioned about where they were headed locally.

If it ends up being me, I’ll have a interesting video to post.

I really did not want to believe any of this nonsense but we are a company of less than 50 and the claims seem credible.

Been quite a bit of fishing boat traffic in front of my house, heading to the landing. Been thinking about setting up a checkpoint and confiscating illicit fishing gear and alcohol. grin

I had to get my grand daughter some essential new arrows this morning, had a state patrol behind me for a little while, thought if he pulls me over I would tell him I was on the way to the liquor store, they are deemed essential business.

So, did both reports involve State Patrol? No local law enforcement?

I got it from a good source the big perch are biting there by Black Deers. thus all the boats going out..
You want I should come get ya we take my boat go see? I only got a 14ft boat so not sure seats are 6ft or is it 10ft apart now??? Social spacing>>may have to sit on bow to be legal..
So many rules just to go fishing. LOL!

Big question is can you confirm yes or no on the perch bite??
