I know you can freeze pelts it you roll them up fur side out. My question is can you put them in the freezer once they've been put up and dryed???. I need the freezer space and freezing them put up would save some room cause they would lay flat

Much better doing it that way than trying to keep green fur frozen. Beside the space issue, if you try to keep from year to year, you will have some freezer burn, no matter how you do it. Finished fur is already dry, freezer burn is drying out while frozen, dry pelts do not freezer burn! I get asked that question a lot!

I have 4 small 7 cubic foot freezers full of green hides. All fleshed and vacuum packed. As long as the vacuum stays they are good for a long time. Cleaned out and tanned some last summer that were three years old. The only ones that had a touch of freezer burn were ones that had the vacuum leak. This in not just a few skins but around 300 or so. Some were from the last season, others going back to 2016,
Ted
