So was there an online only auction this week or not? I heard it was all cancelled then I heard online only with buyers bidding via the web. Anybody know or heard? Thanks

Remote auction. With online bidding. Started on Tuesday and will end at 5 PM eastern time on April 2. Plenty of time for buyers to get organized and think about bidding.

Only registered buyers can view the online catalog which shows valuations, which are the minimum starting bid. Shippers can only view the unmarked catalog.

Nothing will be posted to shipper accounts until the auction is over and sales finalized.

Does anyone know how the online auction works? How do they determine when the bidding is over? I would think prices wouldn't be posted until after April 2 but my account already shows some stuff sold.

The auction is over when bidding ends at exactly 5 PM on April 2.

Those of you with sold goods showing in your account, those are goods that sold before the remote auction was started. They are NOT part of the remote auction. I assume they were sold Private Treaty because FHA had an interested buyer and they felt his offer was fair given the current market.

If that’s true, selling stuff PT right before or during an auction seems crooked.

Items sold through private treaty may have sold anytime since the last auction.

In my case what items that I had sold must of been before the auction started because I had no fur left from the last auction.

What I have been told is that it is a sale not an auction. If you were to call and offer the full price, it is yours. Greg told me there were two types of buyers on this sale. The ones who wanted fur and the Chinese and GFW. Don't kill the messenger. That is what he said. He also said the latter were getting the dial tone....No fire sale in other words. LLL

We can't allow this auction house to go down or we're screwed. I don't know what we can do to keep it going just a little bit from everybody I suppose
