Loved that guy, he did a lot for the youth and man was he funny. In the 5th grade me and my buddies did a globetrotters skit for the talent show. RIP.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

i liked him the best, especially since he gave me one of their balls at the Cap Center in MD when I was 14.
We saw them bout 5 times during my youth.
RIP Curly!

I only got to see them in person once but many time on the tv he inspired me to keep trying to do what he could with a basketball not that I ever came close but it helped me to become more focused and determined in not only sports but life in general .
Thank you Curly for the wonderful memories rest in peace !
Allan

I saw the Globetrotters once and loved it. I am not even a basketball fan. Nothing political correct about them. They just did their thing and the fans adored them.

I saw them once. Good, clean fun. Our society is lessened by their absence. They erased race, even if for only an hour or so.

Seems like in the 70s and 80s the Globetrotters were always on tv?

I saw them once when I was 16 at Calvin college. Curly was most known for his ability to dribble, but oh boy could he also shoot a basketball. Sure were fun to watch !!! R.I.P. Curly !
