This whole thing is new to me so I'm still rolling it around. But it seems we are between a rock and a hard place. It may be people will like getting paid and doing nothin. And since it is a new thing they may get the idea that with a socialist gov. it could be this way all the time not realizing the shortages and long lines is not just a knee jerk reaction but would be full time under full communism, people in general don't nor can't look down the road a little. Hopefully this virus thing will die or people will get immune or some of the drugs can get used to see if they work. Hopefully the cure if any isn't held up til after Nov.

I was just listening to The Joe Rogan Experience Podcast. For you older people, a podcast is like talk radio that recorded but you can choose who you want to listen to and can listen to it anytime. Joe Rogan is very liberal, but also hunts so I normally just listen to the hunting ones or the ones that he has SEALS, CIA, FBI, and stuff like that. I also listen to the liberal ones from time to time just to hear other peoples views. Two weeks ago he had a private contractor for the CDC on who has been working on Coronavirus. That guy talked about how we don't fully understand the virus so its better to side with caution than regret later. Joe was very against the people who were saying the virus is nothing. Well today I listen to his podcast from earlier this week and he was explaining the situation in LA and how the CDC being over cautious is causing unnecessary panic. The healthy, younger people are being screwed with no work and panic that isn't needed. My prediction is more and more people with a lot of influence are going to start voicing the same thing and start pushing back. Joe Rogans podcast is the most listened to podcast in the world right now with millions of listeners, most of which are liberal (its why i think its awesome he talks about hunting so much). It's just a matter of time before our Casino Owners say enough is enough and get our Nevada Governor to just being an idiot. The only people who should be on quarantine or lockdown or what ever they want to call it are people over the age of 65 and anyone with extreme preexisting conditions. Let the rest of the country live life normally. But that wont happen. So for now I'll just enjoy traffic free freeways haha.

Putting it in perspective.

2019 world population: 7,577,130,400

Coronavirus cases to date: 559,136

Deaths to date: 25,278

My age: 67

Should I be concerned? No more than about cancer.

Should the world shut down: NO

I really enjoy his podcasts. I dont find he fits into one category as easily as calling him a "liberal", but he did endorse Bernie. His love of bowhunting really is nice to listen to. Also, most people like surrounding themselves with people with the same beliefs as themselves. I think a great way to firm up your belief systems is to spend time with and listen to people who have vastly different opinions than yourself. Besides, as much as bipartisanship is the norm these days, things are rarely as one sided as people make them out to be. Joe is a lot of things, and I am certainly no liberal, but he certainly has an ability to call bullcrap for what it is. I find that despite his political leanings he is totally open to discuss any topic with any one. His podcast with Joco Willink and others come to mind.

Well it seemed some wanted over reach in telling some what they could and couldn't do with the money. But no over reach when people don't stay home with the virus.

We have two new cases today in the counties next to us. Both on I-57. One coming from Texas got to sick to go on. One coming down from Chicago got to sick to go on.
