I worked on it in 2015. Stations were all built in 2015. It was in service in 2016. You do realize this right? I do. There is a station a mile from my house, kinda hard to miss it. Do you know why the last three miles of line 67 was installed in 2017 and not 2015?

I have worked up there but not on that project. To try to answer your question as to that 3 mile stretch of the project I believe permitting started clear back in 2012 or so, and like every other project in mn it seems as if it takes 4-5 yrs to happen. Mines are in the same boat with permitting. I believe that 3 mile stretch was to increase flow by around double of what the old capacity was if I remember right. You currently operating 49er, or have a bit of down time?

The last three miles was completed in 2017 because it takes an approval from the US State Department to cross an international border, it took a favorable administration to get it. They used existing pipe in the ground as a temporary solution so to speak. If they would't had that pipe in the ground....
That is why we hadn't been able to finish XL under Obama, couldn't get the necessary approval from the State Department. The Trump administration gave the approval and of course some judge has blocked it. I suspect we'll see some lawsuits come out against line 3 as soon as the last permits come in.

I'm not busting anyone's balls just explaining what went down
Today's younger guys in the pipeline trade don't realize prior to bush/Cheney oil man policies and the fracking boom pipelining was boom or bust.

The bear market is still decent if you know how to put up the pelts for taxi, and only ship good spring or late fall (prime)pelts. Not much market for hair bears.

Lol I figured it was from the late 80’s. Looks exactly like the pics of my Dad and Uncles back then.

You ever think projects get held up worse when a R is in office just cause they don’t have any consideration for the opposite of what we do? You have to try to look at other peoples perspectives even if they don’t line up with what we do. There wasn’t all this protesting and what not going on nearly as bad under Obama as there was when trump came in. That was a s—- show what happened out west with Dakota access. People rebel, just like kids if you give them a reason. Not trying to be dis respectful at all either 49er. Probably worked together at some time and didn’t even know it. A lot of folks weren't happy when obama won, but they got up the next day and went to work. Perhaps there is so much more protesting and less "trying to look at it from other people's perspective" now due to the folks that didn't win this time.
