Does anyone have any secret methods for saving the most on shipping? Anything cheaper than the USPS flat rate boxes?

Set em and zip tie them open......wish I woulda remembered to do do that earlier this week.....lol
There’s a huge difference in a flat rate box vs. any other box of traps.

You can "release" the springs on coilspring traps or set and wire in the set position to get more in the box you shipping.

#330 fit in the large flat rate box better with springs compressed and zip tied.

Brings up a question. What is the most 1 1/2 or number 2 coil spring traps you can get in the medium flat rate box?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I shipped a 24 lb battery charger to N.Y. yesterday via USPS. $71.00. Shocked me just a bit. It was just a tad too long for the Flat rate box.

UPS ground can be cheaper than a flat rate box, but ONLY if it is sent to a business address. Residential surcharge will kill you.

When considering UPS ground, one needs to factor in distance the package will ship.

Shipping from Idaho to Wisconsin is a lot more expensive than Minnesota to Wisconsin. Even if the weight is the same.

For those us in the Pacific NW, it is hard to beat Flat Rate boxes for any package going east of the Rocky Mountains.

Though not much help to OP, it's worth mentioning that SpeeDee shipping is fast and cheap, though it's only available in the midwest.

The post office does have a TALL flat rate medium.. Seems like you can get more of that sized trap in them, but i don't remember the exact number...

I can get a dozen of either one in that longer box, I was wondering if someone figured out a way to get more.

I save approx. $5 to $10 dollars when sending east or south of Iowa. Flat rate is cheaper than A or B Regional Box when sending west

So how many 1.5 or number 2 double coil spring traps can you get in the regional A and B boxes?

Region A - I would say 5, maybe 6 of the 1 1/2. Probably 4 of the #2 coils. A Region A box is fairly small. And has a weight limit of 15 pounds.

Region B box had a weight limit of 20 pounds.

Plus, Region A and B boxes have to be shipped on line. You can not ship them over the counter at your local post office.

FedX Home Delivery is cheapest for longer distances if you're unlucky enough to not have speedee delivery in your area.
