I never thought Cuomo would be the voice of sanity where civil rights are concerned. The death rate is now at 6 per million of the population in the U.S. Roughly 2100 dead so far total nation wide. 2000 people A DAY die of heart disease. I am lots more more worried about the inactive reserve being called up and suspension of the constitution than I am of this virus. The Public Health Service Act gives the feds authority to quarantine areas of a state or entire states to prevent movement across state lines. I suspect there would be a lawsuit if it is implemented Mean As Nails

I live in Northern New York, and it's still the month of March here, but you cannot believe the numbers of "Virus Refugees" flooding into their summer camps along Lake Ontario from New York City, Downstate, and Rochester area to escape the Virus hotspots there. They've been streaming in since last week to midweek this week. Our County had 5 positive cases last I knew but the germ carriers from NYC will change all that when these migrating asymptomatic virus infectees start getting sick here and over-whelming our local hospitals. I'd be in full support of a Quarantine of the greater New York City area. Stay where you live and ride it out. Don't spread it to uninfected areas. Kudos to President Trump for having the guts to consider implementing a quarantine when it becomes necessary. w Last edited by walleyed; 03/28/20 05:19 PM.
