I would like to see a dog do the roll/ rub.

I like the Vaseline added idea for the stick and roll move.

Don't you have some rotting fish juice you could set out for them to roll in?

I like Bobs Idea of using the carpet patches and I have some bamboo sections Wolf dog sent me so I might set up some lured bamboo sections. It's time to get a bit creative.

Put some good trout oil out Beav. with a couple drops of skunk in it. That oil doesn't come off very easily from hair and fur.

So far It's a learning experience. Some dogs just blow by all 5 scent stations. Some will have the owners putting everything they got to pull their dog away from the lured spot. So I'm betting that It's the same with wild critters. Some will show no interest at all In a lure while others will be interested. Of coarse these dogs are on leashes so maybe It's not a fair test as how or when they will react to a lure.

Don't ask me what I'm using because 4 out of the 5 lures have no labels on the bottles. The Lennons rat lure seems to get a lot of attention.

If your talking about wind direction that's not the issue since this lure In 2" from the edge of the side walk and the dogs are right on top of It as they pass.

Monday I will start over with some new lures and some new lure holders.

One dog dropped a load and then did his kick back. No dog that I know of has lifted It's leg at any of the locations.

Was the fish oil pressed or sun rendered??

It was some kind of commercial stuff so I'm sure It was pressed. It's not all that strong smelling.

The dog responses to the various Lure isn't surprising. I wonder how some heavy castor based scents would work.
