Sick of all the corona talk...let’s see some 10/22 builds. Got one I’d like to mod out, need ideas. Really just want to plink and squirrel with it but hey why not do it in style?

My wife bought me one like this, minus the sling, same color Nikon scope and mounts. Opinions vary on the stock but I really like it. ...

I like the look of the plywood stocks.

That’s pretty slick adc! She bought it factory?? What model/package is that??
I agree on laminate stocks, I really like the look too. I had a ruger 25/06 with a laminate “safari” stock that was pretty sweet but I ended up selling it:/
Dang squirrels are social distancing too?

Mine doesn't need "modded" out. About 25 years ago I went against the advice of all the experts and took the trigger apart. Replaced a spring and honed the sear a bit with a whet stone finishing with a razor hone. trigger is about two pounds now. Poor rifle got to looking like it had been in a cement mixer from all the hard use it has had so I pulled the barreled action, (cant remember the last time I did it), Gave a complete disassembly and cleaning. Then scraped all the old finish off, wet ironed out the dents, sanded it down and put tru oil on it. Old gun has always shot good. Now its pretty again. Pretty nice for 42 years old I think.

Where is the best place to buy a 10-22 receiver. And does quality matter for a receiver? Brownell has them for $90, railed. Kidd is $180. Will the cheap one be satisfactory?
I have the kidd trigger group and charging handle. About to order a Kidd barrel and bolt but wouold like to save some on the receiver if it doesn't hurt accuracy. Thanks

Everyone has a different opinion of what accurate is. For me, 50 yards is as far as I will shoot a 22. Deer, squirrel, doesn't matter. 50 yards for me. My stock 10-22 will shoot cci 40 grain, standard velocity, lead roundnose ammo, into a quarter with 10 shot groups at 50 yards.

If your goal is a rifle to hunt with my answer is you don't need any expensive race gun parts. If you like to compete, or just get a thrill out of dime size groups at 50 yards then spend the extra money.

I got bored and put a kidd ultralight barrel and 2.5lb single stage in mine, I went with a ghillie green hogue stock because I wanted something that was comfortable and light. Put a DNZ one piece mount with a Leupold 3-9 rimfire, it’ll shoot cci mini mags in little ragged holes. Just need a suppressor for it. I used the factory ruger receiver, wish I would have just gotten a brownells mainly because of the hole in back that allows cleaning with a rod, which go on sale for 60 bucks at times.

10/22 mannlicher stock. Its factory but I don't know if they are still made or she found a new old stock one. It came from a gun show. I bought the scope and mount.

Nothing special about this one except for the fact that I bought it back in the 60's and it has a pretty low serial number. I had also done some trigger work on it. works great for me but I mostly use a couple of bolt actions now for specific purposes where I will use quieter rounds that are subsonic. This 10/.22 was a favorite back when the kids and I were burning a lot of ammo....very trouble free.

I am building one with an integrally suppressed barrel. Will look like a 10/22 with a bull barell. I have everything but the stock.

Love 10/22s.
