I know we are all basically quarantined and can't visit any Nam Vets but if you know any, give them a call or send them an Email. I love all Vets but the Nam Vets have a special place in my heart, they kept me and mine safe when I was a youngin. I want to thank all those that served and kept us safe and free. You are all loved, respected, appreciated, admired and are Heroes. Welcome home. May the Creator bless each and every one of you.

Deserves to be ttt

All vets are heroes in my book. But, the Nam vets are especially special to me too. When they came back home they were spit upon, called baby killers, and worse. A friend of mine served two tours. The second time he came home he didn't wear his uniform because of the treatment he got at the airport after the first tour. We've kept in touch for a long time. He's been fighting cancer as a result of Agent Orange for a long time.

I would also like to say thank you for the post. It brings back a lot of memories, some good some bad. I was there in 1965 and 1966. Came home on March 8th on a stretcher after being lifted out by a chopper. I would have like to have gone to the VFW and visited today. Thanks again for thinking of us and to my fellow marines, Semper Fi.

My father, a gunner and pilot in WW2, called VN vets among the best men who ever lived. I can attest to that.

I was about five years old when my oldest brother was there. Huey doorgunner. U.S.M.C.

Yes that is one of two lotteries that I won. All expenses paid trip with weapons and all the ammo you needed. My MOS was avionics repair and crawling into tail booms of choppers to solder shot up wire bundles was not easy or fun with poor lighting and 100 degrees. It was amazing how many rounds some of the choppers took in and how much damage they took and still flew.
