Been laid off since December but normal for me. Should be getting to work soon... or I’m guessing so but may take longer to get going this season.

Still working and trapping.
Plus my wife starts a federal job in a week!! My turkey trips are back on next year.
Now the bad news...according to my 401K I’ll probably be working until I’m 90 or so!!!

I am used to being financially challenged but I had a few months work lined up and now all the bigger jobs canceled....glad I saved when I could and have zero loan/cc debt.

I was laid off Monday, but my severance package is getting paid out through normal paychecks through May 1. Besides that, my wife is working reduced hours at the clinic because they are seeing very few patients and everyone agreed to take 1 day off per week to spread the workload so they don't have to lay anyone off. Luckily our health insurance was already through her employer, not mine.

We'll be alright for a while, hopefully without having to dip into any savings. I ha e applied for unemployment, but expect to be denied because of the way my severance is being paid out. I'm not working anymore, but still getting a few more regular paychecks. I'd much rather have the security and peace of mind of a steady job, but I'm already looking for something else. Had a desk job for 10 years and would like to do something a bit more active. I just dont have a lot of paid experience doing that sort of thing.

Residential construction shut down by governor's decree so I'm out of work there. But I'm still running my property management business, that won't get shut down.

Financially I'm good. Everything I own is paid for, my home and camp were paid off twenty-plus years ago. All my vehicles are paid for. I have zero debt. I could probably retire and have no worries.

I feel bad for the folks struggling with mortgages, bills and debt. It has to be tough for them right now.

Eh...wot?

Perfect example and reason to pay off debts as soon as possible.....including mortgages
