I remember saying I'd never pay a dollar for a gallon of gas. Within a year of me saying that I was paying a dollar a gallon. That was 1978 or 79.

I wasn't Rural yesterday was in Janesville making the 2 week supply run I think it is 1.29 or 1.39 here in Green mostly because no one has probably needed a transport in a week. I was too young to drive then. This was in the mid 50's and my dad was managing the Erickson gas station on 6th street at the time. It is now a Holiday Station. I'm just happy to be here! Today I'm as young as I'll ever be and and older than I've ever been before!
