I played mites through high school. Then went the other direction and wore the stripes for 20 years.
No Jab.

I played up until age 53, my last season in the beer leagues. Left D. After finally having both knees replaced a couple years later, my first question for the surgeon was, "Will I be able to skate?" I was seriously bummed when he said definitely not. I miss it still, 15 years later.

Funny, when I saw the title I thought you were calling out any pros, semis or maybe college/university players. Posing that question to rural Ontarians would be a bit like asking if anyone went to public school. It's a massive part of the youth culture here, probably much like basketball would be in the US. Ryan, great pic of your lad, looks like he takes his game seriously!

FYI I had a friend who always drove his pickup with a hockey stick stuck in the stakehole near the cab. I asked him about it and why he carried it. He replied that it was like a flag to let others know he was a hockey fan/player.
Kinda a cool way to show your colors to others.

Played from age of 5 until age of 15.House league then all star league. Quit at the peak of my career when I moved north-the bush was my calling. Played a couple years in the mens league.Got into it when I started hanging around the rink when my son was young and playing the game.

Played from age 2 until 27. Non hockey related knee injury slowed me down and I quit because I couldn’t play to a level I was used to. Sure miss playing but now I watch or help coach my son. That's awesome. Lots of memories will be made. Enjoy.
