Okay thanks for hanging with me as I did these 6 videos. In this video I explain a rookie mistake I made back in the day, and what I learned from it: Be aggressive and do some unconventional things!

Good stuff there Bernie. "Be aggressive and do some unconventional things" has worked for me.

You mentioned ground blinds. Good to have several ground blinds ready to go depending on wind direction. Here's a hunt where I was aggressive but Mother Nature had other plans.

The ground blind ready to go Friday afternoon.

The ground blind Saturday morning.

Was a one-man camp that year due to circumstances. Deer camp Friday afternoon.

Deer camp Saturday morning.

Didn't see a deer that opening day. Didn't cut any fresh tracks walking back to camp before noon that day, until I was 30 yards from the tent. Three deer had passed between me and the ground blind sometime that morning after I hiked out. Sometimes I think I should just bring a lounge chair to camp and hunt out of it next to the tent.

Go figure muskrat. They do some strange things. Sounds like it was an adventure anyway!
