...I personally wouldn't mess with ANYONE who went through Clint's "Urban Rifle Class". Even if they do where tight shorts!

If it comes to home protection the fight will be mostly close range and over quickly. My Kel-Tec 9mm and a few hand guns will do me just fine. Short fast and handy. If I had to move through the house I'd want a handgun. Like if I had to get family members or something. But I like the carbine as a "bedroom" gun. My family sleeps upstairs. I can cover the stairwell pretty good with 30rds of 7.62x39 until the police show up. It's more accurate, has more stopping power and less muzzle flash with a good flash hider. Granted I have to be concerned with over penetration but shooting down the stairs I will be shooting into the utility basement.

pistols are good , much more portable , easier to conceal leave one handed use also much less powerful and most people don't really shoot them well.
any rifle or shotgun should have a sling it is like a holster for your long gun
the truth is anything powerful enough to work well will over penetrate a house wall in typically stick frame 2x4 wall
the good news is many bullets do a good job of stopping or nearly stopping in a man so hitting the target becomes even more important.
knowing where family is is important
in a perfect world our guns would have suppressors as a normal feature that reduce it to hearing safe levels shooting inside pistol or rifle is LOUD!!! but politicians don't like sound reducing devices for guns.

Have you noticed that reloading supplies and ammo are the new Toilet Paper.....and a 12 guage with a short turkey barrel makes a easily handled defense weapon and the trenches of the battlefields proved it's effectiveness just make sure you change out that turkey choke for a less constrictive choke before you run 00 buck most turkey chokes warn no larger than BB

Hearing protection sits with the gun. I'm deaf enough already! AR with light hangs in my bedroom with the mag in and the electronic hearing protection hangs off the grip if I have time to put it on I will if not it can fall on the floor.
