Apparently 6 feet just isn'tt going to cut it. Here's a question....if you knew for a fact someone had covid19, would you stand 6 feet away from them? Would you stand 27 feet away? Probably not. Its like asking if you'd have sex with someone you knew had AIDS as long as you used a condom. Of course you wouldn't because you know that in the end, no amount of protection is perfect. So I say as long as your healthy, it's not worth getting to excited over, you can't prevent it unless you're willing to lock yourself in your house until it's all over. If you're sick or prone to getting sick that's a whole different story of course, but if you're going out in public there's really no safety measures that will truly protect you.

Tell everyone what was said about that long distance---You would have to be a Loogey spitting champion for it to carry anywhere near that distance.

Well, I need to go to the grocery tomorrow. I only usually go once a month... and the last time I went was the first week of March... so food is getting scarce. I usually buy some items that I eat all of the time in bulk from Walmart, direct shipment to the house. As soon as this started, I went to place and order and they were all ready out of stock. I check a couple of times a day and one day I could have ordered 4 cans, but with that small amount the shipping was going to cost more than the food. When you buy 24 or 28 cans the shipping is free.

So, will have to brave it tomorrow... I figure I will do the in the elbow sneeze, every time anyone is near me... that should keep the aisles ahead of empty.

Good luck Garry. I have been lucky,stepdaughter and son in law brought us stuff 10 days ago. Daughter brought stuff this Saturday.
None of the kids entered the house,but left it outside. Daughters lab did come into the house,and that sure lifted my wifes spirits.
We have been very blessed.

I actually agree that it's mostly clickbait. The premise of the article is that when you sneeze or cough the burst of air could conceivably travel 27 feet and that there could be snot.droplets in the cloud.

My point was really that there is so much fear mongering going on right now, and that if you knew someone had covid19 you wouldn't stand 6 feet or probably even 27 feet from them, so it seems silly to expect that to protect you.

You have to wonder about being outside in the wind talking and how far it could be carried it make sense it would carry further in that case. I see people on TV talking talking and spitting.

Wonder if the vapor from the sneeze would carry like scent from a good lure?

I'd say something small enough to attach to a single human cell can float along in the air further than 6 feet.
