The state people decided to hold it another year but price per tail is down to $5 instead of 10 and season will be a month shorter. When to hand in tails is still up in the air because of the virus. I think a guy in April could have some fun trapping beaver for the hide, castor, skull, and meat (I know there are a couple of other things as well) + plus whacking coons, grinners, and skunks for bounty and skulls, maybe a few shoulder capes-- I'll leave the gathering of pepe essence to Law Dog. After April, I don't see much worth unless you're driving around on your own land anyway and have some sets out to kill the 5 nest bounty critters of which two (reddies and badgers) were less than a !% each of the total bounty catch-- coon was over 80% of last year's take. https://gfp.sd.gov/bounty-program/

Getting $5 straight on coons for only the tails “rocks” compared to a couple bucks on the carcass this year along with $5 for the silver grinners we have and still a $5 addition to the summer skunks. If not for the bounty coons would be taking over again. With no telling what the market will even be next year it might be the only control next year of some critters.
With only $5 tail the badgers/fox might get a pass this year.

You're the one signing the affidavit, not me bro.

I still have a feeezer dull of green coon. Can i turn those tails in for 5 apiece?? I believe they require the tail bone to be intact. Just for reasons like this.

So a month less trapping time but you can turn in 2X the tails at 1/2 the bounty I wonder how many will lose interest from last year? So it really will be a race for the bounty pool that was cut in half $500,000 to $250,000 and no clue when you can turn them in. I will be ADC trapping anyways so it’s a bonus for every tail I turn in it just depends how bad they screw this up this year if they do.
