Jefferson Co.	walleyed left his heavily defended, virus proof, sanctuary & compound and made the arduous, perilous 16 mile journey to the hardware store. We needed a high visibility "FOR SALE" sign to put behind the windshield of a vehicle i am selling and a few other odds & ends. Arrived at the store to discover a pair of tables blocking the entrance with a sign saying employees only allowed in store. Waited my turn (10 minutes) in line, and was asked what I was picking up, and a gave her a verbal list of my needed items. She told me okay and would I be paying by credit Or debit card as they were not accepting cash for payment. I took a deep breathe, and asked if she would accept a live chicken in barter for my needed items as I had no credit or debit card. She gave me a funny look and I headed back to my truck before I told her what I thought about her store's policies. Maybe I'm off base a bit but I don't see where a Virus covered credit or debit card is any more sanitary than an Andrew Jackson $20.00 dollar bill. When back home and did what i should have done in the 1st place. Scrounged up a sharpie magic marker, and a scrap sheet of foam insulation and drew up a pretty, homemade "FOR SALE" sign for vehicle windshield. Looks like the "War on Cash" has arrived at my little corner of the world. What does the Trapperman "Brain Trust" think about "NO CASH ACCEPTED" ? w Last edited by walleyed; 04/02/20 11:59 AM. As soon as one of them tests positive the store will have to be closed for cleaning and all employees that had contact with the infected employee will be in quarantine.

Yeah but how many cards has the cashier touched? They put up plexiglass barriers at the supermarket and you still have to hand them your card lol. That 20 dollar bill has probably been in his pocket since the day it was printed and there are probably a couple more in there that have decomposed and turned to peat since he got them. We had to stay in our car, call in and tell them we were in the parking lot and they bring it out. Then, since she wasn't along they didn't want to give them to us. Grrrrrrrr

I live in a town of 1,100 people and I haven't had to hand my debit card to anyone for a few years.I like cash but it is filthy.These are unique times and we are having to do some things differently,for awhile.Look at all the changes we had to make after 911. Guys,this a bad case of neophobia,plain and simple.
