If there is too much unrest in the country . That is when I think it will be martial law . For how long people will be out of work and then lack of income and food . Then that is when the unrest will be and then go from there ,is how I see it .

They don't have the manpower for martial law. Not even close. Nor the right or reason.

The government is purposely avoiding a show of force, this should be obvious. They know there are lots of paranoid nuts in this country. That said, in large cities I could see it. Nationwide? Not a chance. If I lived in a city on the verge of going full on Mad Max I'd be fine with the military being there. Most of us are ex military, and unlike the nuts that think they are going to round people up and put them in camps I actually remember the times the military aided people. Who do you think pulled people off their roofs after Katrina? And passed out food here after Ivan?

I'd give a lot to be able to ask him what exactly he meant by that. Did he mean the people that were scared to fight the British to form our Republic? Did he mean we should hold tight to every real or imagined right & freedom in a time of crisis and the greater good of that Republic be darned? Our founders gave up a lot to form our country. I asked my grandmother (born 1898) one time what they all thought about the restrictions place on the population during WWII, "Richard, it was our duty". Have we become a society that is so spineless that we are unwilling to deal with restrictions in a time of crisis for fear that we will not have the willpower to ensure they are temporary measures? Perhaps it's time for the silent majority to become the vocal majority. I firmly believe that we have gotten to this place where the politicians are running our country according to their will is because we let them. They only possess the power that they do because we have been lazy & inattentive. It's not their fault for taking power, it's ours for letting them.

pry my cold dead fingers. What does that have to do with the situation right now? No one is talking about taking our guns, no one is talking about taking anything for redistribution.

Maybe in a total catastrophe there could be martial law such as New Orleans when there was more vandalism and looting than anything But what we have here is not it!!! this is political grandstanding for bailout money that will trickle down to everyday folks and it'll be a D@@& small trickle

Most of these chest thumping "marshall" law complainers are chicken salad mofos that would soil themselves in a real excrement hit the fan situation.
Those of us who know which way to point the bayonet know our military a) would refuse such an order and b) ain't got the manpower even if they wanted to. As for the local county mounties? See above, besides they'd have there hands full just watching the cities eat themselves. I know I shouldn’t but the thought of cities eating themselves gives me that feeling I get when the Rockfish measures 27 and 63/64ths and the reg is 28.

Thanks harley but the numbers are different than what I’ve seen. Last week a doc in Florida had treated 350 and had 350 recover. He was one of the first to treat with Hydroxychloroquine. Percent mortality has been discussed on here until we are all blue in the face. We will have to agree to disagree
