How long could y'all make it just eating on the food in your freezer? I have 2 chest freezers that are nearly full. I have 4 or 5 whole pork loins. 4 or 5 pork butt roasts, 50-70 lbs of shrimp, 40-50 lbs of catfish filets, gobs of various chicken parts,50-60 qts of field peas, 10-15 bags of corn (creamed)' not too much venison, 15-20 qts of shelled pecans and LOTS of miscellaneous stuff. As long as the electricity stays on and the freezers don't go out, I have the makings of many good meals. Oh yeah, 4-5 beef shoulder roasts.

i like fresh,some seem to be crop damaging my clover.

I think all of us have multiple freezers - you know country boys. Probably could live off just what is in the house for months.

5-6 months at all times. Longer if we ration. I’m not picky though, I’ll eat squirrel if it comes to that.

Why would you tell people how much food you have, knowing how nuts they became over toilet paper? That is not a question, but advice for people on here to stop doing that as word gets around that Trappers are prepared, and hungry and poor people will decide they have a right to your things. If it is not them, it is the government as they are bent on going after hoarders.

Moose and 4 deer in 2 freezers and 1/2 pig with misc in another.I think I year plus on eating out of freezer.

Fresh food here-dont care for old freezer dried meat or fish.A months worth is all I keep in freezer.Lots of groceries in the bush.
Fat spring geese will be flying soon.

This would actually be a good thing if I used up most of what's in my freezers.

Killed 6 deer but probably only got 1 n half left in freezer.. So not as long as a lot but get more eggs per day than we could ever eat... We'll survive just fine one way or another..

Not even close to heading in the negative direction yet dropped the wife off at the store before going to a skunk call today. Picked her up and asked if found everything? Yep even a rotisserie chicken, 3 gallon sale on milk, ice cream and the elusive carrots.

I have enough fish left from last season all vacuum packed for maybe a month once season gets under way I could put a years supply away also have few weeks of venison and than our normal store purchased+ items

we could live a long time with what we have I house 1/2 a cow , 1/2 a pig , home grown, lots of fish 12 quart's of turtle , 24 quarts beaver chill , lots of can veggie , and more beaver ever day
