A long time. Two big freezers full, hundreds of quarts of canned vegetables and meat. Plus 50 gallon of honey and 100s of pounds of potatoes.

Think I could live for six months easily. Lots of venison burger and seafood. Grandson and I took six nice doe last year. Got veggies from last year and a good start on this season. Last night we had a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner with trimmings.

I was just thinking that I could set a cage trap in the garage and leave the door cracked.

That would put kitten on the barbie for the foreseeable future.

Freezers are out of stock. I was going to get one as I now have the room for a small one but no luck. Just have to eat fresh, dried and canned.

I wish Aix Sponsa was here ..... he could trap that possum I saw yesterday evening

Heard on the news here that Covid will be an issue/killing people for 18-24 months. The projection for Ontario was between 3000 and 15,000 dead by the end of that period.

I just butchered a steer in early Feb. We’ll have beef for quite a while.

A big sack of brown rice, a big sack of pinto beans, a freezer full of meat, and a river full of beaver, and plenty of snare wire. I could eat for a long time.

Absolutely the easiest way to catch that possum is go make the most perfect coyote set you have ever made. works 100% 60% of the time.

My freezer is empty and my guns all fell out of the boat. Whoa is me.

Just a couple months, but I’ll be killing spring bears by then, then fish, then another garden harvest, then fall hunting, berries etc. I don’t have to keep enough food to live all year; just until I can get more. If times get desperate enough for poaching, there’s a surplus of yard moose this year.
