I am thinking 120/80 is pretty good, how about 142/89 @ 6:30 AM and 120/90 @ 1:00 PM?

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

I would not be happy with either of the last two.............depending on your age and other factors. Lots of individual differences to consider.

Usually your BP will be highest in the morning.

Sit for about 15 minutes before taking a reading......and no coffee beforehand

And take 3 readings in a row.....it will naturally be high on the first one as you are anxious about the results. My cardiologist told me in his office they take it 5 times and he's not allowed in the room when they take it.

I've noticed at our local medical clinic that the Dr.s have quit wearing the whites....not sure if its to avoid "white coat syndrome" or not. But I think so.....

I did not drink coffee before taking the BP this morning, I am 75 years old and I take 1Diltiazem (240MG) after supper.

hmmm...90/60 is normal for me though once was 110/0 (valve jobs corrected that).
Dad was kinda perinoid and took it probably 6X a day and it varied all over the place from 190's to 80's (top). Doctor told him to only do 1 in a.m. and 1 in p.m.
But he wouldn't listen. He was one also to change doses of what the doctors prescribed as in a day he didn't feel any different.

If you're suffering from angina or concerned about your BP I'd call your cardio guy. Probably get better info there than here.

Not suffering from angina, I am simply wondering if that pressure reading is considered high enough for me to call my cardiologist? I haven't taken my own BP for a while, I get a check up about every 6 months and I take my BP and record it for about a week before the check up, I don't recall what my readings are when I do that, but the family doctor would always indicate they were good. I have an annual appointment the the cardiologist coming up in May.

Well I am about your age and take 4 different BP meds each day. I would not, and my doc would, not be pleased with that bottom number at 89 or 90.

Your situation may be different.

Your mileage may vary

Mr. Lion, get one of these. It goes on the wrist and it saves the last 60 readings. Looks like they are currently sold out. Very easy to use and I check my BP half a dozen times a day (somedays). I just did 25 minutes on the treadmill and I'm seeing 125/72 (age 73).

My heart misses a beat or has a half beat every 4-6 beats when at rest. Sometimes this confuses the BP machines. Need to use a stethoscope and a cuff to get a good reading. Not always, depends on the machine and how it is installed. Some health care personnel like to panic and try to change things. I just say, "lets take it the old fashion way". (This word is unacceptable on Trapperman)es then off sometimes.

I had one of those wrist mounted jobs. It was not accurate at all.

Got a regular cuff that self inflates and records each reading.

Wouldn’t hurt to call the doc for peace of mind. My BP fluctuates a little high at times even with some meds. I agree with Bushmaster about his remarks on taking readings.

Learn to take your own blood pressure. It's pretty simple. The wrist ones as well as the auto ones can be influenced by the simplest of movements.

Nothing wrong with those numbers. Unless you have health issues you are dealing with.

When mine gets to 210/120 I figure I should sit and relax a bit. Like White I am on 4 meds but after 22 years and every med/dose they could think of, the docs have decided that no matter what they prescribe, my body quickly figures how to get back to where it wants to be. If I had your readings I would not be concerned at all.
