Last I heard #1 is at $50 now. About half what it was before the Covid BS. It's the Castor Buyers Version of: Never Fail to Take Advantage of a Good Crisis !!!! Same scam as many (not all) fur buyers pull at regular intervals. The beat goes on..................

I'm told that you should freeze your castor and wait till the market improves.

A Beaver castor adds flavor to a good cold glass of beer.Sorts out the men from the boys. Makes the Burbon taste good too....read the bottle

If I had several pounds I might save it but with only about 2 pounds I am going to sell it with my pelts. I will catch more when season opens again and will take going price then. When the market but $100 a pound it wasn't going to last because the people holding all sold and that is what drives price down.
Wish I had more time to trap....

What has affected the price is CV. Directly and indirectly.

I don't care what you want to blame the price change on. Prices of everything change daily by supply and demand. Directly or indirectly.

I don't care what you want to blame the price change on. Prices of everything change daily by supply and demand. Directly or indirectly. I think I get what you're saying but the point I'm making is without the CV hiccup; supply is still short, prices still great and collectors trying to get all they can. There hasn't been more castor produced this year than last year or the year before that.
