Watch CBS news tonight around 6 with Nora O’Donnell that is the first thing out of her mouth every night! Talk about hype she was a real journalist at one time now she snipes like the rest of the clowns and pushes the drama on her show. She replace Jeff Glor who was 10X better at delivering the news.
Was born in a Big City Will die in the Country OK with that!

Everything in the news is breaking news even on Fox. At one time, breaking news really meant something new that was important. All about the hype today.

used to hear bing bong boom on the tv and see "BREAKING NEWS" and i'd stop in my tracks and see what was REALLY wrong.--now i change the channel.

Our media does NOT respect us or take their job seriously. They think they can whizz on our boots and tell us its raining. My worry is that if we dont fix this now it will be 10 times harder for our children and grandchildren.

That goes right down to even a simple weather report. Remember when we had cold snaps. Don't have those anymore as they have been replaced by things like Polar blasts and arctic vortexes .... all BS in my book. Stopped watching that carp a while ago.

Okie Farmer you might be a nicer guy than I am. I'm ready and willing to accuse them of trying to tell us how to think. Cheeto man bad, white people are all bigots, people of color can't live the American dream and we need to tell them who to vote for.

Communication companies have studied and tailored their broadcasts to appeal to emotions and elicit drama. Twitter, freaking Twitter, is often used as a "source" for stories these days. Gone are the days where a real journalist would ask tough, but not "gotcha", questions, follow up on the story, get opposing viewpoints, verify facts, etc. Today our media is 90% pablum, skewed and slanted to fit a preferred narrative or the agenda of the presenter.

And sadly we all know family and friends that this crap tactic works on. I think I have blocked more friends and family on Facebook than total strangers. They just loose their minds watching the 24 hour news.
