I told the wife to think about shopping less so maybe try to go to town once a week and not every day and buy more then just a few days worth of supplies think a week not days. This is not perfect but will reduce the chance of coming across the virus, I throw a couple Dr Peppers in the truck and don’t stop any place most days. I talk to people outside as much as I can now just smart business.

My point is you didn't need to be there and if you weren't there you wouldn't be inconvenience by their policy. If I didn't NEED to be there they should have had a sign out front that had posted on it items that they deem essential . They had no such sigh and any item they sold was free to be purchased by anyone who wished to purchase it no matter how "essential or not" . Who determines what is essential ? There was someone buying fruit trees - do you really need those ? How about tomato plants ? Do you really need to go in there to buy a 1lb box of 16 penny nails ? Items that are "essential to one person may not be "essential to the next. This isn't a communist country yet .

Im not a huge believer in the one way isle thing unless we all run our grocery carts (safety carts) at the same speed.

I was at rural king last nite and was really surprised they had the popcorn machine locked up, there's always a bunch of crud balls hanging around at it. You'd probably be guaranteed the virus if it wasn't locked up.
They did make you take a buggy and they cleaned the handle prior to giving it to me.

I don't necessarily have a problem with the one way isle -- its the fact that they will use them as an opportunity to shrink the isle width so they can jam more crap in the store.

I worked at a store that rented a popcorn machine for a week during a store sale . About 3 days into it I was getting where I could not stand the smell of popcorn. By the end of the week I had no desire to smell popcorn and haven't ate it in ten years.

I don't mind putting up with a little bit of annoyance during these unusual times. I happy to have the disposable income to purchase non-essential items and the health to travel as I wish. Rural king sells both traps and guns. I don't plan to boycott them anytime soon.

It’s amazing that people think the stores staying open are somehow making the big money somehow with doing so many things that go against making a profit in normal times. LOL If they pay their employees their wages and break even on their expenses they would be ahead but I bet most are operating in the red to provide a service.
A lot of empty glass ways of looking at a bad situation it seems like heck I’m just happy to find what I need and am thankful for it.

I was at RK yesterday, I took the wiped down, sanitized handle of the cart and pushed it to the feed isle. Grabbed my two bags of chicken feed and went to the checkout and paid for the feed. Told the lady thank you and left. I was not butt hurt in the least to follow their guidelines.
The reason for the carts is simple. 50 people allowed in the store. They place 50 carts to use. You take one, when people leave, they pull in another cart. Simple math. I was told by the employee the reason for taking a cart was the length of the cart keeps people 6 feet apart - not that they were using carts as a number system - which makes more sense , that I can understand. Now if this employee cant be trusted to relay the simple message that the carts are for a number system and not to keep distance between people , how do I know he can be trusted to sanitize the cart properly ? Im glad you had a pleasant experience at your store and were not butt hurt - that would sure put a damper on your day.

I’m a guy that hates change I went to Casey’s general store for donuts the other day, donuts no longer on the trays in the clear box all stuffed in clear plastic muffin containers one to two in a box some around the old donut holder some lined up on the counter like a Easter egg hunt compared to before.
Then they were on sale .50 not the .95 so that was a struggle getting that straight the guy is from Philippines so he said take 2 more .50 so I did then he said .15 that sounded like .50 all this time he never said they were on sale. LOL I told him he was confusing the crap out of me but we got through it.
