As far as my real estate friend being ,”part of the problem,” you could not be more wrong. He is only providing a service to rural north country landowners. No one but Albany is holding a gun to the heads of landowners making them subdivide and sell their land. I agree with you about Albany, but more than a few realtors aren't selling land to the local folks down the road or in the next town over...they're selling to people that live in NYC/Downstate, PA, NJ or MA...the ones that can barely control themselves because they can't believe they just 'stole' the land from some hick...inflated prices and taxes that are a drop in the bucket for them, but few locals can afford...Then these guys tell their city folk buddies and they buy 'cheap' land too...Or maybe your friend is one of those guys that buys 100 acres for a song from an old timer or a guy that is forced to move away because he can't afford the taxes..the realtor cuts a couple roads into the site, logs it off, subdivides it into 20 parcels, slaps a rough-cut camp on it, and then advertises a Slice of Heaven to some urbanite that thinks nothing of paying 5 to 10x the original cost, which bumps up the taxes and screws the local folks that are hanging on by a thread. Sorry, but if that's your friend's MO it's a big problem.

130,689 Confirmed Positive Cases in NYS as of 4/6/2020. 4,758 are now DEAD in NYS. Positive Cases confirmed in My Jefferson County, just shot up to 41 from 34 at noon today. Still no Deaths here as of yet. Schools and non-essential business closures now extended until at least April 29th, 2020. 5 cases in my 3 county area if you should need supplies just holler and i'll don the costume and board the batcopter for an air drop. i'll even throw 25-30 beaver for ya to flesh and stretch so ya don't get board.
