I got an idea how about anyone hurt by the shut down refuse to pay taxes next year, that would get their attention. Big business will always make out and the way the bill reads they are getting taken care of. Seems like with trillions dollars being spent we could test all the works we need to build plants to produce ventilators, PPE and even hospitals. Right now its no national game plan, every state for their own and now its time to change horses in the middle of a stream. The economy is going to be shot for years to come and we are not in my opinion doing what we need to do to stop the spread of the virus or save those that are dying from it. Absolutely no game plan it gets worse every day. Didn't watch update yesterday? NY has extra beds, cases and deaths dropping, gonna be sending ventilators to other countries, etc Watch something besides msm ya TROLL!!

All the more reason for a government with half a brain to open up. Unless, of course, they enjoy the Socialistic thrill of power.

Over 2 million could die, then 240,000 could die , then no - maybe 100,000 , oh wait probably closer to 60,000 now they are saying maybe 18,000. 60,000 deaths from normal flu a couple years ago seems like more of a pandemic than this. Why weren't things shut down for that. The country was shut down over media fear mongering and hype. Just look at everyone out with masks - those masks do nothing nada zilch against a virus it's just a placebo monkey see monkey do make you feel good thing. People act like if they go to a store they playing russian roulette with five rounds in the cylinder - scared to death of the corona. Never mind the employees at these stores have been exposed to thousands sometimes tens of thousands of customers and are not getting sick. Sure this disease is real and people are dying, but its nowhere close to the horror the media is trying to make this out as. MN's stupid governor is saying MN will have 22,000 die in MN alone. So far, I think we've had 57 confirmed deaths. He keeps pushing the stay at home regulations farther out. The feds made a suggestion, but left it up to the individual states.

Most people in MN are now making MORE on unemployment (along with the stim checks) than when they were working. Not me. But, exactly the demographic our Governor loves for votes, and continued lock-down Did you save anything in your 50 years of work? Financially this thing is more harassment than catastrophe. My savings, and everybody else's that are tied to 401k's are being unnecessarily depleted. If this insanity continues, our money will be nothing but a plaything, as in Venezuela.. I know one business owner here that can open her doors...but she won't. She has a 17 yo son with severe heart and lung issues. Her son would clearly not survive even a mild form of Covid so she stays secluded. You can judge a society by how they treat their vulnerable...and probably why I don't like most people in todays society. She sounds like a great, caring mother. She is doing exactly what she needs to. But, the special needs of anyone are just that. Special. They should be determined on an individual basis, and not dictate the course of an entire society.

Calvin, you and I are about the same age, I'm sure you saved more than me and I'm not worried about my financial health. My biggest investment was/is my five kids.
I'm more concerned about the future we leave the youth than I am about my safety and my folks. Don't tell my mom I said that but we have lived a full life.
As a country we have and will run up enough debt to stagnate the future.
24 months we'll have an idea of what is right. I hope I'm wrong about the path I think we are on but I don't think so.

Might be a few good lessons in what’s going on now if the people are wise enough to see it, not everything is always endless, knowledge of where it comes from, you can do without everything you want and buying a gun is not as easy as the liars say it is for just a few things.

I didnt read all tue comments.....admittedly our government isn't perfect. But.....8f anyone uas such a problem with our government either get more active locally or shut up or go to a country who's government you think is better. I agree with the first suggestion, the other two are just rhetorical fallacy.

My view from New York. I realize a lot of TRAPPERS are trappers because they love the oudoors, the solitude, and their freedoms, and after reading these forums for several years, it has become apparent that a lot of trappers on here live in very rural areas, and states where there could be miles between towns, so let me warn you when I say this is real. I live in Buffalo NY about as far from NY City as you can get and about 2 weeks behind the City in Corona infection rates. In the last week our county has seen cases spike, death rates climb, and hospitals start to fill. I come from a family with several nurses and PA's and let me tell you, I've never seen these folks scared, but they are scared now. In my small circle I have my daughter's 24 year old friend on a ventilator, a 57 yr old second cousin (also a big hunter and trapper) fighting for his life, and a good friends uncle, 64, deceased. I'm telling you, dont underestimate this, or your ability to "tough your way through it". If I was where you are and had the time I would stop socializing in person, stock up on hand sanitizer, lysol wipes and paper towels, and make sure you have enough food for a month. Make no mistake, just because you live in God's country you are not immune. I hope this never finds you, your family, or friends, but I fear it might. I was you a few short weeks ago. Now, I am watching people suffer, and die. Be well Trapperman Family. That's it from Arrowsmith in Buffalo, NY until this is over.

The loss of life from this pansidemic will come no where close to the lives destroyed trying to curb it. Easily the dumbest thing I’ve ever read here. I agree with Big sky. Magis, keep watching the news and be scared. That's what the left is counting on.

Our government ain't perfect. But I will absolutely not shut up or move on the bluff demand of some character too lazy to even find out what is being said. We have a government taking away half of our rights, and we have people like Pikey thinking they can take away more. I didn't just inherit my rights, I did my share to earn them too.
