Thanks. It was a group effort. She has been hunting hard and I have messed up my hip and has slowed me down alot. My parents called and said if your coming up to the cabin stop at the gate the birds are in the front yard lol. So we slipped down the driveway i put her on the left side and stuck 2 decoys out about 10 yards infront of her. I sat on the right with tripod and camcorder rolling. I started yelping 4 birds answered just hammering. Next thing i knoe i see fans coming. They came in 20 yards full strut spitting and drumming. Circling one another. I'm looking at her saying shoot. She gives this look and say can't. After 15 minutes they strut back up the driveway out of sight. I didnt realize the small bend in the driveway on her side has 1 tree and they stayed inline with it. Dad texted mensays they back in the yard . So we slipped a little farther up and i sent her about 10 yards infront on me. Both of us are in the wide open now. Camera rolling I yelped and here they come. Her bird comes out 7yrds infrint of her and im saying shoot . He turns walks back around corner. I can't see whatbshe can. She wanted the back bird that was blowed up strutting. Her bird turns around and comes back in and walks past her and at this point I'm ready to puke. He stoppe at 8 yards and started to bolt. She shoots and all.3 other birds attack it. We had to sit and watch bc only one bird allowed per day and 1 bird total during youth season. It was an awesome hunt that either of us will never forget. #raising them right
