so I made my way to town today. Went to the farm supply store. Dang! They put a limit on how many can be in the store at one time, and the place was crowded. Had to wait in my truck til a few came out so I could go in. They’re experiencing record sales so far this year. Supposed to be “chick days” but they were out, again. Folks were there trying to buy them, but they don’t arrive til tomorrow. They’ve sold out six times the clerk said. Never been able to sell all those they get in “normal” times, now they can’t order enough. So their supplier is doing well this year. Find it kind of ironic that while some businesses have slowed considerably, others are experiencing their best sales to date. According to the clerk, the farmers and ranchers are the ones doing most of the buying, their regular customers. Many have coops, but been a few years since they used them. Lot of old garden spaces being prepped up this year. I have noticed that. Bought seeds for our garden months ago, but apparently garden seeds are getting hard to find too. Personally I think it’s good that folks are getting more involved in being self-sufficient. I hope the whole country takes on that attitude. We’re the USA, we do it better than most when we decide to do it. Very nice to see some Americans taking pride in that idea again.

I have sold over 3000 coturnix quail chicks in the last 3 1/2 weeks to people wanting eggs and meat. Coturnix typically lay at 6 weeks of age and the hens will lay 300 plus eggs a year.
Rabbits are selling very well right now too. I am getting some in tomorrow that I will sell for $40.00 a doe, $30.00 a buck.
Under our governor's orders 12b and 12c, I am deemed an essential business and am required to stay open if possible. Money has been pretty good for an apocalypse, though I stopped about 2/3rds of the way I normally make revenue.
Keith Hey Keith, what kind of rabbits do you have?

Maybe these changes will wake up people to being more self subservient. These are needed changes for the good.
