OK, Outlaw99, I get it. You want to take a positive post, trying to help out a fellow trapper, and somehow turn it into a negative against me.
In reality, though, that is what this is all about. I play the game by the rules, and out of nowhere the government decides to change the rules. Yes, I think the government sucks.

If he worked as hard on the solutions as he did complaining about the problem this post would of ended long ago. LOL “ I don’t want the Governments hand outs but I worry they don’t have my address to send it to”. The form is to much work to fill out and so on.
Go back and read it from the start it again.

Lawdog, you are reading the wrong things between the lines.
Why would anyone want to go into debt with a government loan, when they can "borrow" it from themselves by taking it from their savings?
Will that loan be "forgiven"? That is all in the details. Probably for employers, but, not for single person sole proprietors working out of their homes, like me.
Why would anyone want to take money from their savings while they are still capable of earning their way.
Just fun, I did fill out the application. It will probably end up being the same joke as the unemployment application I did for the wife.
As far as that BS $1200 aid...what possible good will it do if it isn't available until the enemy has retreated?
It's all government hype. "Look at all we are doing for you". When if fact it what they are doing to us.

What are you "saving" for if not for when you need it? Are you saving it for someone else to have when you kick the bucket?Never could understand that mindset.Money is to be enjoyed, and is useless unless used.

Seems you don’t need to pay it back it what I keep seeing on here many people will need to dip into their savings you would think during this mess so your not taking that $1,200 then since it useless?
It’s hard times nobody likes it but ranting about it’s all the governments fault seems extreme but go for it if it makes you happy it’s a free country.

One thing I've learned in life is this:
There are always and will always be hurdles in life. Some big, some small. Truly successful people will always clear said hurdles and move on with their lives in a positive manner. (best they can). And they expect another hurdle in the future...which they don't' freak out about as its part of life.
Whenever you think you have it bad, its not hard to find someone a LOT worse off than you. I see a guy walking to the bus stop many days that is blind, and missing both arms (has a prosthetic on one arm to control his white cane). . And he has a better attitude than most.
What a great post. Thanks for sharing your thoughts

T Rex you should retire and live off your millions. I tried that 20 years ago. Didn't work, I got bored.

Sounds like someone didn't plan well now blames the government for his lack of planning
What does my planning or lack thereof have to do with the government revolting against its citizens?

It’s hard times nobody likes it but ranting about it’s all the governments fault seems extreme but go for it if it makes you happy it’s a free country. #1 Did you ever hear about the reliability of information that you found on the internet? I have done my research and find in my case, most will have to be paid back. #2 As soon as that couple trillion dollar bill was passed, that money became my money. I would no sooner give it back to our beloved government than I would the Social Security benefit that they grabbed to dole back out as they see fit.

What are you "saving" for if not for when you need it?. Irrelevant. My savings and a government shut down are not related. Its relevant for those who dont have any money coming in from work. According to statistics most people live from pay cheque to pay cheque, and are in debt up to their eyeballs. Those with a slush fund put away to dip into will be fine, and wont have to depend on someone else(like gov't) to look after them.

At 73 you should have enough assets and money built up to be able to retire and not have to worry about this shutdown. This is all on you for wasting the last 55 or so working years of your life not getting financially prepared.

I think you need to contact the small business admin to start with and see what they can do.

Even if it jumps to 60,000 deaths in the US. That's 60,000/328,000,000 = .01% for all this BS. Triple that die from drug abuse. Check out this persepective. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lGC5sGdz4kg
