Is that unclear. It says in black and white the total case and death numbers include PRESUMPTIVE POSITIVE and PROBABLE cases.

I will add my 2 cents to the pot here. I have just come back from seeing 2 possible and most likely covid Patients in the last couple hrs tonight while on shift. For those that make fun of the over reaction to this disease I understand it but at the same time if you had witnessed what I have the couple weeks this thing has blown up and seen some of these people that have it you might change your tune a bit. It is no joke. Yes very unlikely you may not get it or you may not be hit as hard as some of these people but the last 40 year old lady I just witnessed I felt like putting her out of her misery that is how bad it was. I am not scared of it but I sure hope to heck I do not get it because it is plain aweful and you are sick sick sick!

Maybe all the numbers mean is we value freedom above life. Freedom is hard to achieve. We can always make more people.

The numbers reported in the US are political stats and nothing more. Our stats in the US are far over blown for financial gain and to serve a political purpose during an election. Much the same way China under reports their cases to make their Government look good to their people. It doesn't seem realistic to believe either set of stats completely.

Per the CDC the median age of death of COVID patients is 78, which is the life expectancy of americans. Currently 1.9% of active covid patients require hospitalizations.

So about 2 weeks ago I went to see the doctor about my blood pressure. It has been going way up and down lately. Anyway, while there I asked him his thoughts on the covid. His response was "the hospital generates about a $5000 margin on a pneumonia hospitalization. A covid hospitalization generates about $22,000. Anyone can do the math. So what do you think? Is there an incentive to have covid cases?" Then he just shrugged his shoulders. Then he told me "if you had covid back in March and get hit by a bus walking out of here today, we're going to count you as a covid casualty."

That being said, this past Tuesday a lady I have been in church with for years passed away with covid. She lasted about 7 days from onset of symptoms. No, she wasn't in great health prior to covid, but was doing ok. Then covid. Very sad.
