Part of my daily routine is to come home from work and chill out for awhile and checkout the recent posts & threads on T-man. That’s starting to change.

I am dumbfounded by all the callous threads and comments about covid-19. More than 26,000 of our countrymen have died in less than 8 weeks from this disease or complications related to it. That is no joke. 700+ / day in NYC. Bodies stored in trailers. . . madness!

I work in healthcare and have taken care of C19 patients. Some of my colleagues have gotten sick. We are stressed that we may not have the proper equipment to care for YOUR friends and families. No worries, we’ll risk our well being for them.

When you go out and choose not to wear a mask, hangout in groups, not follow social distancing, and not wash your hands you put others at risk. If they get sick, they put my colleagues and I at risk. It is selfish.

Was it selfish to run to canada during nam?

Did the families who lost sons and husbands in WWII think why did my boy have to die?

Freedom is not free. It costs lives. That's the truth.

We should be waging war on C-19 and its source, not cowering in our homes.

Thank you for stepping out. We've all been duped into turning this into another political issue. I'm no exception. For those who have left their loved ones at the hospital to die alone, and then must morn alone, this virus has no political allegiance. Thank you for your service to these folks.

It was political from the get go. The government made it that way.

They can't get out of their own way enough to fight this virus. Its just another campaign tool for both sides.

You have to take into account regionality. I work at a hospital system and visit half of em daily and nearly all occasionally on the weekends. Our census is down by half since the lockdown . Clinic side is a ghost town. Hospitals around us are laying off staff or cutting hours Looks like I'll be playing golf with the CFO and a few docs at the golf course Saturday. The CEO and CMO will be out later than our money game group.

Nobody is being callous, were just being realistic about the situation.

Police , fire fighters , military , and road workers face death everyday , no virus required .
none are calling for a complete shutdown of the economy that would lead to more death than
we're facing with this bug . While I appreciate your service , and many others , I don't think sending
the world into a depression ( last one caused WW2 ) is the best plan .
I hope and pray that you and yours are safe and healthy thru this ,
much like I hope you / I aren't in a car wreck on our way to work .
Life is full of risks , again Thank You for your service .

People don't take it too seriously till affects people close to them.

Every day you avoid it, is a day that gives our health care system a chance to catch up.

If you have the means to avoid it, it just makes sense to avoid it as long as possible.

Yep Marty My sister-in-law has it . It has been a month and she is feeling somewhat better but not 100%. Still in isolation.

Please place blame where it belongs. Across the ocean. No one here asked for this.

I agree with you 100% one old boot.

The only people who aren't taking this seriously are the ones who don't work (or have loved ones) in the medical field. Like anything, most people don't think things are real until they actually see it first hand. Only then do they change their tune.

Not to mention a lot of people here think a few bucks is more important that human life...Well I don't (criticize away).

Well I for one thank you and your co workers for what you do Old boot!

People are going to do what they want to, if they catch C-9 I just hope you do not spread it. For them to bad, handle it. I live in a very low risk area but still follow the guide lines. I am not living in a hole in the ground, right now it is to cold to. LOL

The health care workers around here are playing cards because they have nothing to do. People who actually need to go to the doctor are not going because they are scared. This irrational fear is out of control and people like you are fueling it. Then you are shaming people who do not agree with you. You are the problem not the solution.

My sister also works in the health care field with the elderly every single day (Phoenix). She has been working with people with the virus all the time and every single one of them have been sick and recovered just fine including several people in their 80s and one in their 90s. I came into this with an open mind and genuine concern, but I become more and more convinced every day that this is a giant scam.

I do work in the medical field. My age also puts me in a high risk group. I have to say enough is enough. Sure, we need to take precautions, but, not to the extent of closing down society. Put this country back to work. We can't hide forever.

More people will die in car accidents than c19. My family uses the freeway. Let's change to speed limit to 35mph from 70. There will probably be no more crashes than. Sorry, your obviously a liberal left winger. We won't ever agree. That's ok.

The bank doesn't care. It wants its money. We have to work. We can't stop the economy. Your another one scared by the media. That is their plan and fell for it. Our parks are shut down here but grocery stores are open. Your more likely to pick up the virus inside a store with other people than you are outside in fresh air. Debate that with me genius.

What's the death rate on this virus? Is it more than the flu? Cities are an issue because people are closer together and there are more people obviously. Just the way it is. There have always been pandemics and always will have them. Are we supposed to stop living because of fear?
