In our county, there was one case. I don't know anyone who has had it.

I believe my whole family had it before they started testing for it.
Started with my son, he just developed a horrible cough that lasted 3 weeks.
1 week after he started my daughter did and developed a high fever for 5 days tested negative for th flu.
1 week after she got it my wife and my mother both woke up sick the same night. My wife laid in bed for 2 days had a horrible cough and said she was exhausted. A week later she was vomiting again developed a high fever, body aches and a sore throat. Tested negative for the flu and strep they asked if she had been out of the country. She said no and they said its just a viral thing and sent her home. 2 days after i cane home thought she was dead in our bed. Trying to wake her up she finally rolled over, her eyes were rolled back in her head and she went right back to sleep. Took her 4 weeks to get back to felling 100 %
My self and my father just developed a bad cough for 2 weeks.
This was all in February

All these people, including myself, that "had" it and there was no mass death?

Maybe cause the media wasn't telling us it will kill everyone?

I had a cough and fever etc. For 5 days about 2 weeks ago. Not tests available here unless you are critically ill so I don't know what I had. My doctor believed it was Covid-19 but can't be certain. Still have the cough though even weeks later.

i now know about 20 people with confirmed positives that have or had it. many related to picking it up from work. but only a handful ended up hospitalized. most actually thought symptoms were more like a cold or mild flu. sad part is one family friend passed away and that's the uncertain part of it. he wasn't real old--61 and a long distance runner that generally would have heart/lung function higher than the average person. felt fine, then had fever, wasnt that bad so he didnt fall in the testing category, got worse few days later and immediately went on ventilator , was dead in day of being placed on it.

this area would be a likely candidate for having the virus floating in the community back at the first of the year with thousands of chinese returning after the holidays with many of those directly from wuhan. of course it wasnt as much on the radar back then but there were lots of folks with fairly serrious health issues in the community right after the first of the year. however a significant number of the serious cases here had a positive influenza b test also so i truly doubt that covid 19 was very widespread here earlier in the year. guess possible that at some point in time we'll look back at the lab tests that came back negative for type a or b and see how many that amounts to and if those were maybe covid 19 that flew under radar

One of my best friends died of c19. He spent 14 days on a vent. Finally his organs started to shut down and he didn’t last long after taking out the vent.

Condolences to those who have lost friends and family.

Sorry for the loss. It does look like it has hit close to home for many. I/we need to just follow guide lines and live life. This panic fear has got way out of hand and this whole thing is a induvial responsibility for everyone to follow and things will be fine.

I live in a very small rural town and we've had two cases and I knew both men we'll. They go to church together, Eddie recovered well but Johnny came home from ICU and was seemingly getting better but after a week he took a backset and ended up back in and on a vent. He died on Monday. He was 72 and in pretty good shape

I believe I had it back in February when they didn't know it was in the country yet. I was at a power plant and everyone was sick. (I'm not naming plants or corporations for fear of retribution. ie… No more work) Anyway, everyone around me was sick and I wound up getting it. Same symptoms they are talking about now. The guy who sat beside me even went to the doctor with a low grade fever, he was checked for the flu and didn't have it. They labeled it as a respiratory infection. In one day there, 100 in house workers and 200 contractors called off of work. When I came home, I think I passed it to my wife, she felt bad for a couple days and had a low grade fever but that was it. Neither of us have been tested, we both feel fine and at this point, they should use the test for people more in need of one.

I BELIEVE IN MY GOD, MY COUNTRY AND IN MYSELF.

Remember when people died from old age? No real cause of death, just old age. Then people started dying from cancer and other sort of infections that was not discovered yet.

I think people have been dealing with Covid 19 for a long time, that was passed off as pneumonia or some other respiratory problem.
Now they are testing for it and it’s shocking the world.

My buddies wife tested positive, she got tested because someone from work was exposed to it on a business trip to colorado. It took 12 days to get diagnosis after the test, she didn't have any symptoms to speak of and no one in the house did either.

I don't personally know anyone that has contracted the virus, and I pray for all those who are affected by this.

I did plant some native grass and foodplots for a medical doctor yesterday that practices in Austin. I asked him about the virus and if he had any patients. He said that he had two so far, one was a 20 year old girl who seemed to have fully recovered and the other was a mid 40s year old male that had gotten it on a ski trip to Colorado. He said the male was still dealing with some pretty serious breathing issues.

He told me that he did have colleagues that had lost some patients due to the virus, so I asked him how does the virus kill people. He said three times that we are learning a lot about this virus. I thought it interesting since he said it three times. He said it really just depends on how your particular immune system reacts to the virus and that no one really knows how their body will respond until they get it. He did say that unlike most corona virus ' that stay in the upper respiratory thract, that this particular one goes down into the lower respiratory system and can cause severe lung damage. He said that it does not matter how many ventilators you are on if your lungs turn into a brick.

We have had 3 people die in our county.... the first one was a long time friend. I hadn't seen him for probably a year and of course no funeral so, don't much about it he was 81.

I’m currently helping a man, age 75, who caught something. Was recently overseas. He displayed minor “corona-like” symptoms, so we called the emergency room for advise on how to proceed. We were informed to monitor his temp every three hours and give 81mg aspirin to reduce his fever which spiked at 103.4. His fever broke after two days, but he has a nagging dry cough, the mucus won’t come up. He exhaust quickly walking short distances. He felt good yesterday, but apparently over did it. He’s bedridden today and has decided to follow the advise of a week’s bed rest. The ER said they couldn’t test him because they were still short of test and he needed to exhibit more symptoms before their guidelines allowed them to test. We were advised to quarantine for 14 days as a public safety measure. His appetite has returned and we’re treating it as a common flu. I will say that we thought his allergies were acting up when it started, but after the second day whatever he has slammed him. He’s an ornery ole bugger so I’m betting he’ll be fine.

Condolences to those who have lost friends and loved ones.
