Adam what kind of folk medicine are they taking? I am thinking blueberries might be good. Lots of antioxident, elder berries, pine needle tea, rose hips maybe. Whatever is available.

I also think it was here long before it was made public. I had a heck of a time in February after I got back from Mexico. i had a slight cold before we went but it was terrible when we got back. My wife had it too. I went La Crosse to the clinic on a Saturday and wound up testing positive for Type A flu but I still have a dry cough 2 months later. I had a low fever but the the coughing and just feeling run down lasted longer than it should have. I haven't been sick or felt that bad in over 15 years. I never get sick but that sucked. Of course at that time nobody had tests for it anyways even though I asked about it at the hospital.

I'd like to get tested to see if that's what it was.

Had two deaths this week in my program.

My wife's cousin died from the virus 3 days ago.

I know one man in TN who is slowly recovering. He is about age 40. Said he was shopping for a lawnmower and a customer in front of him had a cough. The man turned away from the salesperson and coughed right on my friend. He thinks that is how he contracted it.


I flew from NC to Denver and back during Christmas. I hate flying in winter months because I often get a cold afterward. A couple of days before I returned, I had the worst gastric disorder I have ever had. Lasted two days with mild temperature one afternoon. About 20% of cases are like mine. I have no way of knowing if I had Covid-19, but I'd bet on it. A few days later the wife had a more typical display of symptoms and we now think she also had a mild case in January.

Danny, those all would be good. Honestly, It depends on what the person/ household has available. If someone in a house has it, the entire house is quarantined. Hardly anyone is allowed in or out. Head of household is the only one to leave for necessity items and that's only on certain days. If you don't work in an essential job you can't leave. If you do leave there's "interrogation" when you come back before curfew. Thankfully farming isn't banned, kids can only play in their yards. It's so crazy

When I had the flu for the first time in my life back in January I took elderberry syrup. I think it helped me get over it quicker but I have no real evidence to base that on.

I’m pretty certain I had it back in February for two weeks. I had all the symptoms, couldn’t get my breath, fever, coughing which lasted 3 weeks, loss of smell and taste. I read somewhere it started in January.

Or the stuff u get needle in butt for!!

A couple of my coworkers have family members who tested positive. I don't personally know anyone who has gotten it.

Anyone have anybody they know who had the influenza or pneumonia lately? No one hears about those things anymore

May have had it around Christmas like others say. Very bad cold cough. At nite cough bad. Couldn't hardly talk,most cough drops ever. Lasted about 3 wks total , might been, they really need find out where this crap come from, China or wherever an put end to it, get vaccine.

Don’t and won’t know unless testing become available to those who don’t need it too bad. I had a couple colds. Probably never know.

Our local newspaper reported Wednesday that our Health District can expect 300 deaths from the virus. The district is comprised of 9 very rural counties in Nebr. The panic and hysteria had started all over again. The paper got ahold of a worst case scenario issued for the hospitals and mortuaries when this first hit. Not meant to be a press release. We had 1 positive case in the entire county, a long way from 300 deaths. This kinda of false reporting just drives me crazy.

My wife and I both tested positive in mid March. Got it it from an orthopedic center in Fairbanks. There were 15 cases from there. It was rough for three weeks but are doing fine now. Still hiding out on our place since mid March.
