I suspect there will be another large drop in the market in the second quarter. Anyone positioning themselves for it?

Any market you choose Beav. Fur, precious metals, stocks, bonds, you pick it. The question is about discovering what markets are being watched in hopes that someone might share an insight or idea. The unemployment numbers continue to rise, retail sales are falling, manufacturing continues to drop. The only market I see on the rise is the stock market and it’s manipulated speculation. Several big investors have remained on the sideline during this whole Covid-19 thing, and I suspect they are waiting on another drop before getting in. Warren Buffet would be one of those large investors I’m speaking of.

I suspect there will be another large drop in the market in the second quarter. Anyone positioning themselves for it? yes Well no surprise coming from you. Of course you are! That’s the way you make your money. At least some of it. Investors are always looking for the next opportunity to get in low, or get out high. Just wondering how many out there get it, and wondering if they care to share an idea or insight.

You'll know we've bottomed when Buffett uses his cash and when you can buy high quality TP at Walmart You know it!

How does one know when buffet starts spending his cash? mt That's the problem. Usually you don't know for a few weeks. But that doesn't mean you can't still get a good or even better entry point than he did. The tough thing about trying to follow Buffett is that he often buys an entire company or is dealing with debt securities rather than stocks

AAPL’s manufacturing regions are being hard hit by the virus.
American spending power has been a great leveraging tool both here and abroad, but the debt created is taking the tempering out of that tool. Creating new debt to pay off the old weakens our ability to control the outcome. Over leveraged companies and individuals may suffer greatly over the next few months. I tend to believe capitalism ultimately wins. Black markets are a good example, as they always appear where free trade is not allowed.

Canadian Prepper just did a good video on this, check his utube channel.
With what is going on it makes no sense that the market is where it is and the situation we are in is not going away soon....

I pay attention to Buffet, but I don’t try to mimic his moves. Don’t think I could. He’s in that “too big to fail” category. He’s definitely been positioning himself for a big move and isn’t shy about it. He’s a true insider, but he leaves a trail and an indication of what he’s up to if you can read the signs. Not saying I can, but I’m still watching.

i dont look for precious metals to drop with all this funny money being printed. might bounce around and a few dips but i dont think very low... upside potential much greater than downside imho.

I've been wondering about that too. BUT, consider the huge drop in the cost of energy. That has yet to work its way through the economy. The last CPI reading was supposed to be down 0.3% but was actually down 0.4%
Also we never did see the inflation that one would expect from QE 1,2, & 3 i agree we havent seen inflation as expected....however i think its more than reported... leaves me scratchin my head!
