I have a 10 month old Mountain Cur that continuously sheds like crazy. Is it in the breed to shed this much or is it just my pup? I thought it would be a seasonal thing but it isn’t.

What dogs don't shed much is what I'd like to know before I get another one.

We have the same problem. I thought he was shedding his winter coat but apparently not. Even brushing him doesn't help much and so the sweeper gets a regular workout. And ours is 9 months old.

After I brush mine, if he rubs against my leg, the pants are still filled with hair. I guess we have to live with it or get rid of the dog which I won’t.

I love my German Shepherd, but man does he shed! Brush him weekly and use Shark Vacuum. Only drawback with the breed. Smartest dog ever and loyal; with no nuisance barking. He is worth the extra hair management...

We have two. The Brindle dog doesn't shed a bit. The other is a yellow Mt. Cur, and you could make a blanket out of what comes off that dog.
