The past two evenings my wife and I have been in our hot tub in central SD, and there have been strings of airplanes ?? very high on the same trajectory. Basically on a line, evenly spaced heading to our NE. Twelve or more in a row. Any idea of what and where they are going? We go from 8;30 to 9:00 central time. Really bugging us as we have never seen this kind of activity. Much thanks!!!

Seen them here in Kansas. We saw them a month ago on our way home from kids ballgame. Sheriff’s in NW Kansas were pulling there hair out in January. News reports say they are drones. Maybe someone messing with us rednecks.

I saw the same thing here about a month ago and could not figure out what it was. I was on the road I live on, which is gravel. I pulled over so I could watch them. I did some checking and was told it was a string of satellites. The one I saw were going SE.

as long as parachutes dont start popping out the back of em you should be good. If you see chutes....then WOLVERINES!!

If you want to check if its airplanes go to a site called flightradar24.com. It shows all planes with a flight plan, click on the plane and it will tell you its type,company, origin, destination, altitude, ground speed, etc.

But although I've never seen them, I believe what you are seeing are satellites.

I see satellites often but never more than 1 in a single trajectory at the same time.

Flightradar24.com doesn't show any miltary aircraft.

Watched these tonight in central MN. String of what looked like moving stars going sw to ne.

I thought satellites too at first, but then they changed direction? My vote is drones.

Me and a buddy seen that same thing one morning back in December before sunup headed to the deer stand. I’m not a sky guy but that was the strangest thing I had ever seen in the air. Looked like what Santa’s Sleigh would look like. Bout 10-12 lights in a string moving pretty good across the sky.

I posted about StarLink some time back after seeing them first time while camp firing..I'm not sure if it's another new string was launched recently? My brother in law sent me a message the other day though saying it would be visible right now.
