I know if I set that gun down I would need help in finding it again some where along the way. I would need a GPS locator on mine.

They were previously painted with krylon. I had them in a tan/brown scheme and did it probably 6-7 years ago. They held up pretty well for my purposes. Had hoppes #9 and CLP and ballistol all over them during those years. Sure a little bit of it will rub off and smear if you scrub on them while soaked in solvent. But if you let it dry and wipe it off its not a problem. Rough handling will chip the paint a bit, but not enough to matter TO ME. It isnt duracoat. Its spray paint. But if you ask me the wear scars the paint gets in it over the years adds to the character. And when you get tired of it a rag soaked in acetone and a little elbow grease will remove all the paint and you can start over. I am not trying to put a finish on the rifles, they already have that. I just want a little camo. One good thing about painting them is it really makes any parkerized or rust prone parts pretty much waterproof.
