I your opinion what is the best 110 on the market today for mink. (strength, durability, effeciency)

What is your way to setup 110's for mink (pans, circle triggers, trip wires)

I was told 110 for water drounding sets so cheap dukes are fine. 120 for dry land sets.

I love the BMI's also but I am in need of a few dozen more 110's for dryland mink and didn't think BMI 110's were made any more. Are they still being made? I have not seen them anywhere. All of the new 110's I have seen seem a lot lighter than my BMI's.

Northern trapping has them. I've been eyeing a dozen for next year. https://www.northerntrapping.com/cg...mp;title=-BMI-110-Magnum-Body-Grip-Traps

The one set on the trail when the mink comes thru.Fine tunning them so there is no travel on the triggers is the most important thing then brands.

BMI. Here's why: The triggers are very sensitive and dinner bell shaped (belly wire installed) .

Many #110 triggers are too stiff for mink. Duke is the worst and need filing/ adjusting for mink. Yes, you'll catch mink in stock Dukes but you'll miss some too (If left stock).

Get the Magnum jaws. This is a must if you are setting them on dryland. There is plenty of gap between the jaws of a standard bodygrip to allow even big males to breath. Nobody want's to see a catch circle and a live animal when they are checking their killer sets. (been there, regretted that).

Whatever you do, DO NOT get the sleepy creeks. my last set were so weak out of the box that they were hip catching and completely missing muskrats. Not a mink option.

I like 150's over 110's myself but use all.

Make sure to use the magnum model of whatever you use, Mink are tuff.

I have always ordered BMI traps directly from their website. Things may be different now due to CV-19.

Are u talking about catching them on dry land or in water ? Harder to catch on dry land, in water they slither though more snake-like I hear. I only caught few on dry land an most were incidentals in 220s

X100 on the mag full closure. 110,150,160,220. whatever fills the trail. all with circle triggers with trip wires. 80 percent dry, the rest bottom edge sets. 159s, 220s for bottom edge sets. Tune the trigger travel for sure. I use Bridger mags but any full closure will get it done. I rarely have a live one even with 110s dry. All blind sets no bait no lure..

Common sense catches alot of fur..

I always liked BMI. That said, I catch more mink in #330 Belisle than I do in #110’s

Does anyone know if the BMI website is up-to-date. Calls and emails are not returned, but the site looks current. Just want to know if they are still active just closed due to covid or actually closed permenently.
