Yesterday we broke quarantine to see our grandchildren!

They're been isolated. We've been isolated. Alaska has a low rate of infection. We said the heck with it.

These kids were isolated and cooped up in their house for more than a month. They were so delighted to be at our place. Can't be good for kids to be kept isolated like this.

When's the governor coming for us?

Dang bernie only made it 2 weeks into socialism before he quit. Seems you lasted a little longer before you quit yourself.

Smart thinking to have juveniles violate their quarantine. What could you do when they showed up at your door? It would have been wrong to turn them loose on an unsuspecting public.

It was our son's doing that kept us apart from our grandkids for more than a month. Not my decision. I was in favor of considering our two households an extended family that takes reasonable precautions, but lives more or less together.

But our adult son and daughter took it upon themselves to quarantine us, out of concern for our age and my medical condition. Our daughter shops for our groceries, and son kept his kids away from us. Touching, but aggravating. We are only supposed to leave the house for doctor appointments.

But our son finally realized people aren't dropping like flies all around us, and brought the grandkids over yesterday.

A good visit was had by all.

My missus went to PA for over a week to help out with the launch of the new grand son. She will come back home the day after tomorrow and I am going to Hilton Head Island on the 25th to get some work done. I stay away from people by default as much as I can. Got nothing to do with the virus. Has everything to do with people. But I am not one for gubberment handouts. So i will have to work if I want to eat.

More and more people are getting restless and feeling the same way as seen by the mounting protest. The government needs to start opening this country back up.

Quite frankly I don't give a hoot what the government is planning on doing. The government could not win up a wrist watch without poking someones eye out. Just look at the clowns that are making the decisions on what should happen and when

My second Grandson is due this coming Saturday, the 27th. We have not been within 20 feet of his wife, our son, or our Grandson in over a month and it hurts. Maybe we are being over-cautious, but with me having risk issues, my wife being in a very high risk category, and the problems that may be caused if our son or any of his family being exposed we have made the commitment to stay away. We only have a short time to go until the birth, and then a period of time after that when they will be in quarantine after the hospital stay, and I would never forgive myself if my impatience may result in one of them, or us, becoming infected.

Linda drove up there and has not left their property during this week. They had food stocked up and while the daughter and son in law where in the hospital for a couple of days, someone needed to look after grandson number one as he is only 3 years old. if it had nit been for the virus, I would have gone up for a day to visit and say hello to the new arrival but I am giving that a miss as it is not a necessity. Just not worth the risk And Moosetrot I think you are doing the right thing for sure.

James sounds like you have a case for a suit against your son. Do you know a good lawyer? Only kidding, I am happy for you. Got to be with 2 of my granddaughters on Saturday, the other 4 grandchildren tomorrow at one of their birthdays.
