A YouTube video doesn’t make something accurate. Yes we have gun control, no you guys don’t like that, yes there are aspects of it that are not ideal. My kids will be legally passing down every gun I own to their kids some day if they want them.

Care to share where he is wrong for educational purposes?

Well first and foremost it is an American using it as a vehicle against gun laws but that is a moot point. The govt discussing the laws is a knee jerk reaction for sure and clearly does nothing but appease to a very small demographic but they are not coming for my guns. Yes, I realize that assault rifles are a big part of gun culture there, but they’re not here and they’re gonna get kicked to the curb, like it or not. I don’t even know one sportsman who owns one. Yes, I get it, a single shot can kill a guy too, so can my .270 with its five shot magazine. Legislations were tabled long ago and the covid deal put them on the back burner. These proposed laws will affect very very few gun owners and will deal with a minuscule fraction of current firearms out there. I’ve been hearing the “give them an inch they’ll take a mile” thing for my whole life. I’ve only really given an inch. Saying how we are tabling new legislation bc of the shooting is a blatant lie. Like it or not, it was tabled long ago and they have nothing to do with our biggest mass shooting in history.

We can't buy assault rifles over the counter here either. We need a tax stamp and I don't even know what else. I've never looked into it....the video says you can't even protect yourself basically.

Canadians have the right to defend themselves against a criminal attacker and that involves using a firearm. A simple google search will tell you all you need to know. The video is twisting things for a groups own interest.

What good is a handgun (restricted) for home defense if its required to be unloaded and locked separately from ammo?

In all fairness, rvsask did say "firearm" so he could have meant a shotgun, like good ol' Sleepy Joe.

I don't want the government in my bedroom, house or most other areas of my life. It's largely populated by idiots and everyone knows it.
