Well the so called “small businesses” got a bailout. Several of those “small businesses” valued at $100 million or more. Just curious when the tiny, mom & pop sized, businesses get a little assistance?

Haha.

I have a new found definition of what a small business is after seeing who depleted the small business funds.

Bailouts seem to happen everywhere for bigger companies, sadly.

What is "a little assistance" for real small businesses?

Apparently it’s a $1,200 check, that should arrive eventually, if you don’t make too much money.

I own a small business. 9 employees. Got my PPP loan last Friday. This will allow me to keep paying them for the next 8 weeks, and take care of monthly bills. Thankful for the money, but I would rather be open.

Timbremn, I'm with you, but didn't get the funds. Still open for business, for what its worth.

My experience with interviewing a number of CPA's and lawyers is that many of the folks that got the PPP funds were multi million dollar loans and the banks showed a preference to processing loans for their customers who owed them loans. The bank gets 5% of the loan for doing the loan, so if you are a bank, it takes the same effort to process a $10,000 loan as it does a $10,000,000 loan, so if you're making 5%, which loan would you rather process? Oh, and if that same customer owes a loan to the bank, wouldn't you want to make sure they had the funds to pay you back? So banks (not all of them, I'm sure), got 5% of the $450B, and definitely enhanced the odds of getting paid their existing loans. Maybe instead of PPP, we should have called this The Bank Protection Act.

It was a darn site easier to set up a company in SC than it was jumping through all those hoops at immigration thats for sure. Took nearly 5 years to get that sorted out. As of last year my missus owns the company and I just work there. But will still not accept a check from the gubberment. Those that do and then come on here to complain about socialism ..... well yea I'll leave it at that.

Yes, it has turned to Socialism. But, after those tyrants closed down my legitimate business I will take whatever meager compensation I can get.

In the future my new backroom "manscaping" business will be operated under the radar.
