Hydroxychloroquine costs about 83 cents per pill x 20 = $ 16.60 + the cost of Orangeman being right . What does Remdesiver cost ? PriceI wonder which one will be promoted and pushed by media and the CDC ? "Gilead is providing the entirety of this existing supply at no cost, to treat patients with the most severe symptoms of COVID-19. The 1.5 million individual doses are available for compassionate use, expanded access and clinical trials and will be donated for broader distribution following any potential future regulatory authorizations. These doses are for treating patients with severe symptoms, through daily intravenous infusions in a hospital setting. Having a potential treatment in our hands comes with significant responsibility. Providing our existing supplies at no charge is the right thing to do, to facilitate access to patients as quickly as possible and in recognition of the public emergency posed by this pandemic." https://www.gilead.com/stories/articles/an-update-on-covid-19-from-our-chairman-and-ceo

Very cool of them , was asking . Doesn't mention future production , and they should get paid for that , no ? Kinda like when a coke dealer lays out a free line , then asks if you want to buy any .
I hope it works , don't get me wrong . Maybe they are dealing on a chance to sell a vaccine in the future ?

Yes they should get paid for it in the future IF..it is viable.
This isn't the first go around for Gilead.
A few years ago they invented an absolute cure for hepatitis. The 30 day treatment cost $95,000 per person. The company donated the treatment to anyone who needed it but could not afford it. I have two close friends that used it and are now free of Hep C. They paid nothing for the drug. Absolutely awesome story right there.

Danvee you are right but every procedure/drug ever given is an experiment. There is constant improvement a little bit at a time. With this there is a big jump because the disease just came to people in the last few months and there will be problems for some. The medical profession just hope that the problem patients are rare and far apart, no one know yet. At least these drugs have been around for quite a while. The vaccine is a different story when that comes and it will, but there will be big risks at first, finding the right doses and who who can and cannot take it.....jk

Great news. Thanks for sharing and hoping for a medical break through.

There's a light at the end of the tunnel. Sounds like good news to me. Thanks.

Right now there is no daylight between the leadership of the WHO and the CCP. Disgusting!
