I lost the Elderberry post that was already up. I put 25 bushes in the ground today. Hard to see them in my picture as they just look like sticks but give them a month and they will look better. [Linked Image]

You guys should look up the elderberry variety 'Marge'. Looks to be at least twice as productive as the typical S. canadensis and does well in the mid-west. Real big berry size like its 'Haschberg' mother.

Got them from the local NRD office. $.85 each. Came out at $22.74 with tax.

I have a wild patch on the farm. My wife picks quite a bit if she beats the birds to them. I never thought about cultivating them along with with everything else. They will be really nice thanks for sharing your progress.
