This trapping season I’m going to catch some muskrats and tan them myself and make an ushanka hat(hat with the ear flaps that can go up) out of them. I already know how to sew and I can tan a fur so this will be a fun project for myself. I think It would be funny to wear it to school, I’d get looks but I’d still be proud of it.

Can't wait to see that. Post some pics as you go along.

You will get looks for sure, real chicks dig fur.

be careful how you wear fur in school.
In grade 7 I got kicked out for rolling up a muskrat skin and hanging it out my fly.

Nice hat Nessy.
A lot of people like rat hats because they are very lightweight. The ones I make can be rolled up and stuffed in a shirt pocket.

grin Sounds like something I would have done! I did accidentally drop a bottle of Hawbakers Raccoon lure in the middle of the hallway before class. Kids walked through it, not knowing, and scented the entire school!
