How do you store it? We like corn as a side dish a lot and have a farm stand nearby that has some great stuff, but never thought about stashing some. Anyone who remembers the sweet corn from the 2019 Tman feed at the WTA rondy knows what I'm talking about with that corn.

All you have to do is cut it off the cob put in freezer bags you will have a hard time eating any other.

Cook it first, right? I like to make big batches in a cooler with boiling water.

We blanch ours, then vacuum seal. It would keep for years in the freezer, but gets eaten first. Bodacious, Kandy Korn, and Jubilee are my favorites.

Add another variety and you have the big 3. Incredible, Bodacious, and Kandy Korn. Once a person eats Incredible and Bodacious, they are fussy about sweet corn.

I add an early maturing variety and plant all 4 varieties on the same day. Then I can harvest each variety for approximately a week, so approximately 4 weeks of fresh corn. Back in 1995 I sold corn for $3 a dozen roadside. People thought it was outrageous until they tried it. I sold out every day.

I do 40-50 ears at a time depending upon size with my 30 qt. turkey fryer. (have never put a turkey in it yet. Boil for about 15 minutes, eat some fresh and cut with a knife and freeze the rest in pint bags. I plant 3 different maturities the first planting and then do full season varieties about 2-3 weeks later until early July which gives me corn into October.

Canned corn from the supermarket is only fit for catching mushy stocked trout. Nothing more.

Got mine planted 3 days ago, NK 199 as far as I'm concerned we like it the best. I have tried other kinds but I still come back to NK 199.We put up around 50-60 bags a year, it never gets old for a meal.

I'm still confused about the process of storing it. Cook it, cut it off the cob and freeze it in plastic bags? Then just warm it up in the microwave?
