Y'all know I really really really wonder about some of these folks. I started selling stuff i make on Facebook and I try to make sure i descibe stuff very well so who ever is is intrested is going to understand the price what shipping will be how, I accept payment , where I'm willing to meet and so on. Try to make it pretty painless. I mean I break it down barney styale ( as my DS used to say ) Now when I do it here on the trap shed all I get is "hay I'd like to buy that" or "hay you willing to trade". Facebook how ever ; "Hay how much is it ? ( when the description gave the price) How much is it with shipping ?(when the description said shipping is covered in price or shipping included in price) You got 7oz ? ( after i specifically said i only have 3,4,and 5 oz) "Does it fold ?" (When the description says FOLDING TARGET HANGER with pictures if it filtered and unfolded) " Is it painted ?" (Description says painted with two coats of rustoluem spray paint) And the list goes on but it's almost always Questions that where answered in the dang description !

Another prime example was a guy in one of my fishing groups was selling fishing weights . He post a pictures of the various weights he made and a price list that gave his contact info, shipping costs ,what style weights he had and what weights how much per pound and and how he accepts payment. Like he gave more than enough info if you ask me. But just about all the questions under his post where stuff like "how much is shipping?" " you sell by the pound or ounce ?" "What size no rolls do you have?" " How do you accept payment ?"
Like serioulsy all this info was in the picture . I don't know if reading comprehension is just becoming a dying art or what.
Rant over

Dang man. I've had pretty good luck both buying and selling on Facebook marketplace. I prefer it to craigslist, though I can't get the alerts to work if I'm looking for something specific.

I think people are just getting stupider. At least it doesn't cost much time to deal with stupid questions. Maybe add to your add that there's an upcharge for stupid questions.

Probably best not to post a picture, folks look at the picture without reading a thing and then begin to pound out questions that were answered.

Do you sell stuff on the trap shed?

Man I feel the same way I follow the farmertec holtzforma chainsaw page and it drives me crazy that on a daily basis the same questions are asked over and over. At least a couple times a day people ask how much they are and where to buy them and it's all information that has been discussed several times.

I get hounded by stupid people who ask questions that are explicitly answered in my ads too. If they're real annoying, I just block them.

I hate the people, who ignore the pictures in the ad and ask for pictures sent to them.

I hate the "Can you deliver?" and "Will you meet me halfway people?" They frequently want me to drive an hour or more to make a sale of $5.00 or less.

I hate people who make appointments, who never show and who never call, text or email to cancel the most.

Many people suck, but there are great people too.

Most people won't look at an ad without pictures.

My daughter now prefers to sell her rabbits whole sale to a few stores for much less than selling to individuals. Like you said the make appointments and don't show on time if at all. Endless simple all ready answers questions and e mails. Plus the go all at once when they are ready
No half or full grown hold overs. Then again she likes to keep a few to eat so the hold covers are all bad.

General public sucks to deal with for sure.

It's all true, and IF they show up, they won't have a truck when the ad AND your phone conversation says you need a truck, and then they play the "how much really game", again.

As Tommy Lee says in "men in Black" "A person is fine...people are idiots"

That's Facebook for you. People have the memory of a goldfish with ADD when they read something. That's how you get a post with 100 replies and 90% of the replies are the same thing, the rest are either warmouth or chupacabra.

Wish I could get marketplace without Facebook. Got rid of Facebook about a year ago.

Post a full description of a vehicle for sale obviously including year and mileage: first question: what year?, second question: mileage? I hear you wolfie. It's no wonder people trade cars in.

Has been that way for me with FB and Craigslist..Like you I try to put as much info in the description just so don't have to answer questions. then people ask anyway.
